About Me
Hi, I’m Dori (they/them) but I also go by Sunshine! I became a personal stylist because I believe fashion has the power to transform lives. Before I went on my own personal style journey, clothes were nothing more than a mask for me to hide behind. When I finally stopped caring about what other people thought, fashion became one of my greatest sources of joy. It radically transformed my self-confidence, my relationship with my body, and my ability to connect authentically with other people.
As a queer, trans, neurodivergent, and disabled person, I know firsthand that the fashion industry is extremely exclusionary. I want to change that. My mission at Styled By Sunshine is to help marginalized people express themselves, take up space, and feel comfortable in their bodies. My job as a stylist isn’t to tell you how to dress or give you any hard and fast rules about fashion. My role is to listen to your needs and empower you with the tools you need to create outfits that spark maximum joy!
